Tensile bond strengths among three different hybrid ionomers and two d
ifferent hybrid composites were evaluated, With one exception, bond st
rength to a high-modulus composite (Z-100) was higher than that to a l
ow-modulus composite (Charisma). Thermocycling lowered the bond streng
th of Charisma, whereas storage for 3 months increased the bond streng
th of Z-100 compared to storage for 24 hours. Etching the hybrid ionom
ers with phosphoric acid had no effect on bond strength.
