Linear solvation energy relationships are used to estimate the interfa
cial tension at solvent/water interfaces for systems containing ''dry'
' and ''wet'' solvents. The correlation analysis works also in the sys
tems containing Primene 81R and metal salts. The models gamma degrees
= a - b(1) log x(s,w) - b(2) log x(w,s) and gamma degrees = a-b log (S
-s,S-w + X(w,s)) give good estimation of the interfacial tension. Tn t
he systems containing Primene 81R the surface pressure is correlated w
ith solvent parameters according to relation gamma degrees - gamma = a
+ b pi + c beta
