Abstract
Nine clinical isolates of Salmonella Gallinarum were tested for pathog enicity and presence of the plasmids. The virulence pattern of differe nt isolates differed in chicks and mice. All the nine isolates showed the presence of 2.5 kb plasmid. An additional plasmid of 85 kb was fou nd to be present in all the isolates except for E2449 isolate. This Is olate did not show any lethality, both in chick and mice.
