EVIDENCE OF THE OSCILLATIONS IN THE INTERLAYER COUPLING OF CO SUBLAYERS ACROSS CO-ZR AMORPHOUS-LIKE SPACERS, FROM M(H) CURVES

The first observations of oscillatory interlayer coupling between Co l ayers across the amorphous-like spacer Co-Zr with period 16 Angstrom f or a series of Co(similar to 30 Angstrom)/Zr(t Angstrom), where 3 < t < 30, superlattices is presented. The total roughness of the interface is about a few monolayers on average. The strength of the AF interlay er coupling is about 0.01 erg/cm(2) at the AF1 peak.
