Abstract
Neutron reflection measurements with polarization analysis have been p erformed on Au/Co/Au(lll) sandwiches with large Co thicknesses and in- plane magnetization. For the thicker samples (Co thickness about 3.2 n m), a careful analysis of the data allowed detection of the existence of a perpendicular magnetization component increasing from the smooth Co/Au interface to the rough Au/Co one.
