Abstract
We have investigated the interlayer exchange coupling of Fe across Cux Au1-x alloys (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 1). The coupling strength decreases remarkably with alloying. The long period of the oscillation of the coupling decreases with increasing x, while the short period is almost independent of x. The effect of the order-d isorder transformation on the coupling is also discussed.
