Abstract
Multilayer specimens of crystalline Ni and amorphous Ni50Zr50 are prod uced by de planar magnetron sputtering, Magnetic hysteresis loops are measured using a vibrating sample magnetometer. The change in the hyst eresis loops on annealing is consistent with a reversal in anisotropy brought about by a diffusion-induced tensile stress in the magnetic Ni layers.
