Abstract
Based on the transmission line method, the complicated electromagnetic field problem of a nonlinear waveguide can be transformed to a circui t problem. By the transversal resonance technique the eigen-equation g overning the waveguide system is obtained. The TE modes propagating al ong the nonlinear planar waveguide are investigated. The dependence of the total power flow on the mode index and the transversal electric f ield distribution at different power flow are presented.
