Abstract
The recent increase in publications regarding implementations of World Wide Web-based electronic medical record systems makes it necessary t o compare different systems and to understand how they support particu lar needs. This paper develops a framework and a coarse metric by whic h these Web-based systems can be classified and eventually compared.
