This paper describes the final repetitions displayed by a nine-year-ol
d boy with a history of cerebral trauma. The dysfluencies that he evid
enced are somewhat different from those reported in previous studies i
i that his final repetitions tended to involve an entire syllable or t
he nucleus and coda of a syllable rather than an individual sound. Als
o, they co-occurred with whole-word repetitions of terminal words of u
tterances. This raises the possibility that this symptomatology repres
ents a form of palilalia.
