Abstract
In this paper attention is devoted to the photovoltaic, solar-thermal and geothermal research and development, and higher education and trai ning in solar energy at the Slovak Technical University (STU) in Brati slava. A brief overview is provided of recent solar research projects and educational initiatives at two departments of Faculty of Electrica l Engineering and Information Technology and at one department of Facu lty of Civil Engineering.
