Abstract
''Mighty Whale'' is floating wave power device with air turbines which can absorb the rave energy efficiently and convert to electric power or compressed air. Such converted energy can be utilizes for the conse rvation of coastal environment. It will be moored by chains at the off ing of the coast of Japan in 1998, and the open sea test will be carri ed art by 2000. In this paper, the out line of R&D on this ''Mighty Wh ale'' will be introduced.
