Abstract
Two procedures were compared for the determination of citrate in plasm a protein solution (PPS). Ion chromatography with gradient elution was preferred to an enzymatic-spectrophotometric method for citrate conce ntrations in the range 0.4-11 mg l(-1). Better comparisons of results by both methods were obtained for citrate concentrations at the gl(-1) level, as dilution of the PPS reduced interferences in the enzymatic procedure.
