Abstract
This study is on the assessment of inpatients at the beginning of thei r psychotherapy. The instrument is the Operationalized Psychodynamic D iagnosis OPD (axis II, III, and IV). In a reliability test of part of the sample (N = 24) we got a weighted kappa of .59 (axis, ''relationsh ip''), .61 (axis ''conflict''), and .75 (axis ''structure''). Furtherm ore, we report on preliminary results of the analysis of N = 40 patien ts which can be interpreted as an indicator of the validity of the Ope rationalized Psychodynamic Diagnosis.
