Abstract
The defibrillation thresholds of both first-phase polarities of a biph asic waveform were tested using an endocardial defibrillation electrod e system. Despite differences in defibrillation thresholds in the indi vidual patient, both tested electrode polarities lead to a comparable overall defibrillation efficacy.
