Abstract
A study is made of the distribution of natural radionuclides of uraniu m and thorium series throughout fractions of dust removed from ore the rmal furnaces (OTFs) for ilmenite processing and production of titaniu m chloride. Radiochemical and gamma-spectrometric determination of rad ionuclides in fractions of the dust showed that lead-210 and polonium are transferred to the dust fraction of the OTF. The ordinary lead and zinc are also transferred to this fraction. The finest fractions of d ust are more enriched, as compared to coarser fractions, with lead and polonium.
