Rw. Cox, AFNI - SOFTWARE FOR ANALYSIS AND VISUALIZATION OF FUNCTIONAL MAGNETIC-RESONANCE NEUROIMAGES, Computers and biomedical research, 29(3), 1996, pp. 162-173
package of computer programs for analysis and visualization of three-d
imensional human brain functional magnetic resonance imaging (FMRI) re
sults is described. The software can color overlay neural activation m
aps onto higher resolution anatomical scans. Slices in each cardinal p
lane can be viewed simultaneously. Manual placement of markers on anat
omical landmarks allows transformation of anatomical and functional sc
ans into stereotaxic (Talairach-Tournoux) coordinates. The techniques
for automatically generating transformed functional data sets from man
ually labeled anatomical data sets are described. Facilities are provi
ded for several types of statistical analyses of multiple 3D functiona
l data sets. The programs are written in ANSI C and Motif 1.2 to run o
n Unix workstations. (C) 1996 Academic Press, Inc.
