Gb. Okonishnikov et Pa. Pavlov, LIMIT SUPERHEATING OF ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTING LIQUIDS - MICROHETEROGENEOUS MEDIA, High temperature, 34(3), 1996, pp. 430-434
The previously described method of pulsed joule heating of jets is use
d to investigate limit superheating of microemulsions resulting from s
tratification of solutions with the lower critical dissolution tempera
ture, as well as of aqueous suspensions with a solid microdisperse pha
se of aluminum or silicon oxides. It is shown that small additions of
a second component of limited solubility are an efficient means for in
itiating nucleation and substantially lower the boundary of achievable
superheating.
