Aa. Pomortsev et al., POLYMORPHISM AND STRUCTURE OF CULTIVATED BARLEY POPULATION IN THE WESTERN PAMIRS WITH RESPECT TO HORDEIN CODING LOCI, Genetika, 32(4), 1996, pp. 532-540
Alleles of Hrd A and Hrd B loci were studied in populations of the loc
al barley cultivar Dzhau Kabutak grown at 1800, 2200, and 2600 m above
sea level. Dynamics of alleles of hordein coding loci were analyzed i
n the population transferred from 2600 to 1800 m above sea level and g
rown there for three years. Composition and frequencies of alleles dif
fered significantly in populations grown at different altitudes. Diver
gence of populations after transfer from 2600 to 1800 m was shown by m
eans of genetic distances. It was found that adaptivity of hordein gen
otypes corresponds to a multiplicative model.
