K. Florian et al., COMPARISON OF VARIOUS CALIBRATION TECHNIQUES FOR THE DIRECT SPECTROSCOPICAL ANALYSIS OF SIC POWDERS, Fresenius' journal of analytical chemistry, 355(5-6), 1996, pp. 601-605
Techniques for the direct analysis of powdered advanced ceramics provi
de an advantageous alternative to methods using wet digestion in sampl
e preparation. The direct spectrochemical methods based on electrother
mal vaporization (ETV-ICP-OES, solid-ETV-AAS, etc.) show a great simil
arity to the classical method of d. c. are excitation. The calibration
procedure is the major difficulty of all techniques applied for direc
t solid sample analysis, as there is a lack of suitable reference mate
rials of ceramics. Consequently, it was necessary to verify various po
ssibilities of preparation and application of model calibration sample
s. The results of such a calibration are compared with those using wit
hin-laboratory standards.
