The paper describes a free-electron maser (FEM) experiment operating i
n the low-frequency (similar to 1 GHz) low-energy (similar to 1 keV) r
egime. The table-top FEM device consists of a non-dispersive parallel-
stripline waveguide and a planar folded-foil wiggler. The experimental
results show a super-regenerative amplification. Oscillations are obs
erved above a threshold of the wiggler field.
