Abstract
The behavior of a FEL operating in the pulsed saturated regime, is rep roduced by the FEL integral equation, suitably modified to include non -linear effects. The method allows to evaluate the FEL dynamics by mea ns of a relatively negligible computer time. The relevant predictions are compared with available experimental and numerical data.
