Abstract
We discuss the gamma-ray production by Compton backscattering of intra cavity SR FEL radiation. We use a semi-analytical model which provides the build up of the signal combined with the storage ring damping mec hanism and derive simple relations yielding the connection between bac kscattered photons brightness and the intercavity laser equilibrium in tensity.
