T. Tomimasu et al., THE FELI FEL FACILITIES - CHALLENGES AT SIMULTANEOUS FEL BEAM SHARINGSYSTEMS AND UV-RANGE FELS, Nuclear instruments & methods in physics research. Section A, Accelerators, spectrometers, detectors and associated equipment, 375(1-3), 1996, pp. 626-631
Two infrared free electron lasers (FELs) facilities are operational to
cover the wavelength range of 1-20 mu m. We are challenged to simulta
neously deliver an FEL beam to the diagnostics room and eight user's s
tations. We also wish to produce 0.3 mu m-FEL oscillations using a 2.6
8 m undulator (lambda(u) = 4 cm) installed at the 160-MeV beam line of
the FELI linac with a thermionic gun. Two IR-FEL facilities and the s
imultaneous beam sharing systems will be opened for FEL users in this
October.
