Abstract
droxymethyl-(3'R)-phenyl]-1,2-dihydroindolizinium bromide 3 is the ke y synthetic intermediate in preparation of 3-benzyl substituted indoli zidines. Uncertain stereochemistry of this compound was finally establ ished on the basis of an X-ray structure.
