AGAROSE-GEL ANALYSIS OF 15-40KB PCR AMPLIMERS

Accurate resolution of PCR products in the range of 15-40 kb may be ob tained in agarose gels without pulsed-field electrophoresis. A gel of 0.3% SeaKem(R) Gold agarose cast on GelBond(R) support film provides g ood resolution and sufficient gel strength to reliably allow staining and photography. This paper describes a test system for Long PCR and d emonstrates analysis of the PCR products on a gel run under standard l ow-voltage electrophoresis conditions.
