Abstract
Treatment of -aryl-4,4-dimethyl-2-phenylisoxazolidine-3-thiones with t rimethylsilyl iodide (6 molar equiv) in the presence of zinc iodide (2 molar equiv) in chloroform at 50 degrees C under nitrogen atmosphere gave 4-aryl-3,3-dimethyl-2-(N-phenylimino)thiethanes in good to modera te yields.
