Abstract
1,3-Dipolar cycloaddition reaction of bis(tributylstannyl)acetylene wi th nitrile oxides, followed by treatment with aqueous ammonia in ethan ol in a sealed tube gave 4-tributylstannyl-3-methylisoxazole. The pall adium catalyzed cross coupling reaction of the isoxazole with 2-iodoni trobenzene, followed by reductive cyclization afforded 3-acetylindole.
