Abstract
Three new saponins were isolated from the aerial parts of Fagonia moll is. They were characterized as oleanolic acid-3-O-6'-O-methyl-beta-D-g lucuronopyranoside, oleanolic acid 3-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1 --> 3)-6'-O-methyl-beta-D-glucuronopyranoside and oleanolic acid 3-O-alpha -L-rhamnopyranosyl (1 --> 3)-6'-O-methyl-beta-D-glucuronopyranosyl 28- O-beta-D-glucopyranoside. The structures of these saponins were determ ined on the basis of spectral and chemical evidence.
