ELECTROMAGNETIC-RADIATION BY A TUNNELING CHARGE

Electromagnetic radiation during the quasiclassical tunneling motion o f a charge through a smooth potential barrier is considered. A general formula for the radiation spectral density per tunneling particle is derived, which is essentially classical (i.e., does not contain the Pl anck constant), and is given by a simple modification of the convenien t result for the classical overbarrier motion.
