P. Willemsen et al., DYSRHYTHYMIA FROM AN INTRAPERICARDIAL AIR GUN PELLET - A CASE-REPORT, European journal of cardio-thoracic surgery, 10(6), 1996, pp. 461-462
We report a case of penetrating intrapericardial injury caused by an a
ir gun pellet in which the onset of dysrhythmia suggested that the per
icardium had been breached. Electrocardiographic changes appeared to b
e more useful in diagnosing pericardial penetration than transthoracic
echocardiogram in this case.
