Abstract
Laser phototherapy and diagnosis are emerging as new tools for cancer detection and treatment. Tumor uptake of laser dyes and chemotherapy d rugs followed by laser fiberoptic insertion provides a less invasive a nd more effective treatment option for many cancer patients. Further d evelopment will be needed to identify optimal drug and laser combinati ons before this new approach becomes clinically useful.
