Thin layer spectroelectrochemistry is used to study the electronic tra
nsfer between platinum electrode and several aminoquinones in aqueous
medium. According to the composition of the medium, the electronic tra
nsfer occurs in one or two steps. The redox systems are very fast, so
it is possible to determine the apparent standard potential values by
means of the intensity-potential curves. The comparison of these value
s with those corresponding to the systems O-2/O-2 .(-) et O-2 ./H2O2 p
ermits to anticipate the reactivity of these compounds in the dispropo
rtionation reaction of the superoxide anion.
