Rehabilitation of the shoulder has undergone significant changes durin
g the past few years due to many clinical and basic science projects t
hat have taught us about biomechanics of the shoulder. The athlete's s
houlder is a particularly good model to allow us an understanding rela
ted to rehabilitation for treatment of injuries, injury prevention and
performance enhancement. A comprehensive rehabilitation program for a
thletes can be based on these clinical and basic science principles to
aid in our understanding of rehabilitation for shoulders in general.
