EVIDENCE FOR A RESONANCE STATE OF H2-

A resonance state with three equivalent electrons and one proton has b een identified. Large scale calculations have been performed in the fr amework of the complex-rotated Hamiltonian and indicate strong correla tion effects in this system. The findings are rationalized by comparin g with bound doubly charged anions and calculations in the infinite di mension limit.
