Abstract
The compressibility and the thermal expansivity of gold-nickel alloys can be estimated in the complete concentration range through the Varot sos and Alexopoulos model, provided that density data are available an d the compressibility (or the expansivity) is experimentally known for a single concentration. The results are discussed in relation to the defect compressibility obtained from the elastic properties of each of the end components.
