Vk. Sachdev et al., EFFECT OF SB ON PRESSURE-INDUCED TRANSFORMATION IN SE-TE GLASS, Physica status solidi. a, Applied research, 155(2), 1996, pp. 461-466
High pressure dc conductivity measurements, in the pressure range 0 le
ss than or equal to P less than or equal to 3 GPa, for Se80-xTe20Sbx (
0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 9) are reported. Glass
transition temperature (T-g) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies have
also been performed on the samples before and after the pressure cycl
e. Transformations, i.e. decrease of resistivity with pressure, are no
t only rapid and continuous but also reversible with hysteresis, which
decreases as the Sb content increases. The transformation pressure (P
-s) also shifts towards lower pressure with the increase of Sb content
. An attempt has been made to understand the results in the light of b
andgap model for amorphous chalcogenide glasses.
