Abstract
Darboux transformations for the Davey-Stewartson system are constructe d in terms of Grammian type determinants of vector solutions of the as sociated Lax pairs. A study of the reduction of the Darboux transforma tion for the Davey-Stewartson I and Davey-Stewartson II equations is p resented.
