Abstract
Footwear impressions deposited on various types of surface were develo ped using magnetic flake powder and several conventional dusting powde rs. Although comparable results were achieved when glass was the recep tor surface, the magnetic flake powder proved superior for revealing f ootwear impressions on rough or porous surfaces such as linoleum, poly thene and paper.
