Abstract
Low levels of chlordane residues were determined in several species of mollusc and polychaetes and in a shallow sediment core from an intert idal sandbank. Chlordane levels were lowest in surface sediments and i ncreased with increasing sediment depth. Total chlordane levels were s imilar in all molluscs (91-117 ng (g lipid)(-1)), but were twice as hi gh in the polychaetes (202 ng (g lipid)(-1)). Copyright (C) 1996 Elsev ier Science Ltd
