Abstract
The ABC mathematical model of fume formation is based on aerosol dynam ics. The model takes into account the mechanisms of gas-phase chemical reactions, homogeneous and heterogeneous condensation, agglomeration, and deposition. Researchers can user the model to estimate the size d istributions and deposition rates of fume particles and vapors in a kr aft recovery boiler. Model results are compared with fume measurements made in an operating recovery boiler in a mill.
