Abstract
Progressive encephalopathy with edema, hypsarrhythmia, and optic atrop hy syndrome is a recently described rare disorder of infantile regress ion, intractable seizures, and cerebellar atrophy that occurs almost e xclusively in the Finnish population, We report the first North Americ an child with this condition.
