Abstract
Subcutaneous phaeohyphomycosis caused by dematiaceous fungi has rarely been described in immunocompromised patients. We report a case of sub cutaneous infection caused by Phialophora parasitica in a renal transp lant recipient, The role of early identification of the offending fung al species followed by a wide local excision in the management of such patients has been discussed.
