Abstract
Interferon beta-1b has been shown to reduce the frequency and severity of exacerbations in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (MS). Unre alistic expectations of the patient and unexpected side effects may le ad to discontinuation of the drug. Here we provide guidelines how to i nform the patient adequately before most interferon therapy.
