Jf. Obadia et al., LEFT-VENTRICULAR ANEURYSM WITHOUT ATHEROM ATOUS CORONARY-ARTERY DISEASE - 2 CASE-REPORTS, Archives des maladies du coeur et des vaisseaux, 89(6), 1996, pp. 755-759
Left ventricular aneurysms are usually secondary to myocardial infarct
ion with atheromatous coronary artery disease. The authors report two
rare cases of non-atheromatous left ventricular apical aneurysms. The
first case was clearly post-traumatic but the diagnosis in the second
case was more difficult. The authors discuss the aetiological diagnosi
s of these rare non-atheromatous aneurysms in adults and the therapeut
ic management with respect to these two cases and a review of the lite
rature.
