Abstract
Polysubstituted para-fluoroalkyl pyridines and pyridones were prepared conveniently through reaction of alpha-fluoroalkyl-carbonyl compounds 1 and -1,3-dicarbonyl compounds 2, followed by treatment with ammoniu m hydroxide or ammonium acetate.
