Abstract
Dimeric [Cu-2(PPh(2)Me)(4)(mu,eta(1)-C=CPh)(2)] has been synthesized a nd crystallographically characterized; its photophysics together with those of other related organocopper(I) complexes, [Cu-2{2-C(SiMe(3))(2 )C5H4N}(2)] and [{Cu(C(6)H(2)Me3-2,4,6)}(5)] have been studied and Ste rn-Volmer quenching data of the phosphorescent state of the pyridine c omplex with organic halides are suggestive of a charge-transfer mechan ism with a high driving-force regime.
