Kinetometrics is a concept of increasing interest to kinetic-based det
erminations as a result of dynamic systems frequently exhibiting won-l
inear relationships that can readily be modelled with computational ai
ds (mathematical algorithms), Curve-fitting and related algorithms hav
e proved useful ist both error-compensated methods (which effectively
address the variability of kinetic data arising from their transient n
ature) and in simultaneous kinetic determinations. This article discus
ses the usefulness of different kinetometric approaches currently avai
lable, viz. Kalman filtering, multivariate (multiwavelength) calibrati
on methods and artificial neural networks.
