Nonlinear resonance interactions of low-frequency MHD waves are consid
ered in a refractive plasma waveguide with an exponential density prof
ile and an oblique magnetic field. The waveguide eigenmodes are found,
the conditions for the resonance sire ascertained, and reduced equati
ons for the complex amplitudes of the waves are derived. In the approx
imation of strong pump, the parameters of the low-frequency oscillatio
ns excited are analyzed. The results obtained may be of interest in in
terpreting phenomena observed in space, ionospheric, and laboratory pl
asmas.
