SUBLIMATION PRESSURES OF N-ALKANES FROM C20H42 TO C35H72 IN THE TEMPERATURE-RANGE 308-348 K

This paper presents a new predictive method for the sublimation pressu res of heavy lt-alkanes from C20H42 to C35H72 in the temperature range 308-348 K. The peculiar behavior of solid n-alkanes in terms of their heats of solid transitions is reviewed briefly. Also, the behavior of heat capacities of the n-alkanes through the solid-solid transitions is discussed, and the relative importance of this behavior is evaluate d. Finally, the new expression for the sublimation pressures of n-alka nes is compared with other available correlations.
